11. What are you planning to work on next? or 17. What things (scenes/topics/character types) are you most comfortable writing?

11.  Well, I honestly don’t know.  Part of me wants to finish up my ancient spirk.  Part of me wants to write something short and sweet for Pinto de Mayo.  And then I have ideas for a 00q story, and a story for The Martian (a tiny and nearly dead fandom… I really shouldn’t bother).  Both of those are compelling and really different (00q probably fairly kinky, though also playing with some typical tropes, The Martian being much more traditional and (gasp) het (who am I even??)).  I still have disaster pinto feels, but I really think my pinto obsession has run its course.  Part of why Cleaving is taking so long is my head is in other characters.  So probably one of those, or I might actually start trying to work on some ofic world building for my long conceived faerie/science tale…

17.  I feel like I’m pretty comfortable with a number of character types, and I’m  comfortable writing a range of “moods (kink and angst and fluff), but I definitely gravitate (at least lately) to “dorks falling in love” scenarios.  I think in some ways this is a step backward.  My first fanfic was really a character study of multiple characters, and how they got from one place (character-development wise) to another.  I think there’s a bit of that in my Pinto writing, but maybe it’s not as developed, and more me just smashing faces together.  After a misunderstanding.  Or seven.

Part of the appeal of trying my hand at 00q is to try to develop a mission… some technical/action element.  I haven’t done anything like that in a long time.

yes! I have three scenes I need to insert into this thing. I’m going to go again at the top of the hour.

I’m with you!1 Go, go go!

@cheile @ato-the-bean yes! we can do this thing!

are we doing something on a timer?  just so i can set my phone or keep eye on the clock.  let me know.

let’s go to the bottom of the hour! 15 mins, and then we can go again if we like.

my clock says 10:30.  what did you guys get?  i got about three and half sentences.  because Sasha (the muse) is a PITA. (and i think i have a new tag thanks to that)

shall we go again?

I did pretty good! a solid half of this first scene I need. I did get distracted halfway through though, so let’s def go again.

also, @ato-the-bean , meet @cheile 😄

Thanks for the intro!  I feel like we’re old friends already 😀

 looks like you are an Abrams-Trek fan, @ato-the-bean?  you can probly tell by my content that i’m a Voyager geek. (also what i’m writing.  what are you writing?)

and sure let’s go to :00.  after that, I’ll leave it to you and Zjo because I’m getting sleepy.

how’d we all do? I finished the scene I needed to, and I think I’m going to try and wrap up this second one, but I am also fading fast.

i keep feeling like I’m nearly done, but this time it might actually be true.  gah.

I’m gonna try to slap out the last couple lines then email so I can go to bed.

maybe we can do a more planned meet next time? 🙂

Great job everyone!

Speaking for myself, I can’t really plan ahead… just write when I have a moment.  But hopefully our paths will cross again!  Have a great night, and thanks for the sprint!

Yeah, I’m fading too… feels good though.  I didn’t finish a scene, but I definitely made progress.

What are you working on?

How’d we do?  I think I got another 150 (I sort of lost track of where I finished the last sprint) and things are heating up “wags eyebrows”

And @cheile, I am currently an Trek reboot fan, but I’ve watched all the Star Treks and loved them all in their time (I’m old).  I also like 00q, The Martian, Harry Potter, Sherlock, and various other things.  I’m finishing the last chapter of something I’ve been working on FOREVER, and I want it to not suck, but I also am ready for it to be done.  Not sure what I’ll write next…
