Are they insane????

Sorry I didn’t respond earlier… I was traveling for work and got horribly sick, and sort of hunkered down and just managed to get to work and didn’t go online for almost a week.

Anyway, yes, they are clearly insane… or bamboozled, or something.  I don’t understand how the creator’s can be so pleased with their work, but I PARTICULARLY can’t understand why the podcasts were all so congratulatory… like really?  Do you remember how good season 1 was?

Yiiiiiiiikes. I’m glad it was the last episode (I assume it was, anyway) because it’s really gone downhill. I’m happy to rant to/with you

Sorry I went silent…was traveling for work and got really sick… it was sort of all I could do to show up where I was supposed to everyday.

But yes, how anyone could think that was a good way to end things is clearly delusional.  I’m sort of amazed they were all so proud of it and then shocked when the tumblrverse didn’t respond with awe and amazement.  I’m still waiting for the good fanfic to fix this mess…

Man and Woman: Share 20 seconds of screentime
Audience: These two are in love
Two Men: Die for each other, kill for each other, come back to life for each other, are the most important people in each others’ lives
Audience: Bros. No homo. I’m gonna need a 100,000 word essay with referenced sources on why these two could possibly be the slightest bit romantic and I’m still not going to believe it. God, why does everything have to be gay?! Can’t you accept that friendships exist?!?!?!

Police Raid Standing Rock Camp, Destroy Tipis and Are Burning What Remains

eveningstarwoman:

this image fucked me up. it used to be strategy of US military to burn our lodges during the wintertime so our ancestors couldn’t survive. in 1864 they attacked peaceful camps of my ancestors in Colorado, and in one attack alone burned over 70 lodges, which is estimated to be about 10% of the Cheyenne Nation’s housing at the time. i’m the seventh generation born since that attack and now we are seeing lodges burned all over again.

That picture is from the film “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee”.  No tipis were burned at Dakota Access Pipeline.  They did raid the camp and arrest more than 70 people, but that photo is not real.
