Cause you really REALLY R E A L L Y mean it. So I’m like, really holding you to it!

Fair enough. Here’s my problem. The artist apparently purged their deviant acct of all art YEARS ago. The acct is still there, but it’s empty. I downloaded it back in the day, so I could post it with attribution, but feel sort of weird doing it when the artist actually PURGED their deviant art acct. So maybe I’ll post it with attribution, and then take it down when you’ve seen it.

Because there’s no backspace in real life… – AtoTheBean – Star Trek RPF [Archive of Our Own]

Did the pinto hate go away? Was it just in the beginning? I just absolutely love the guys together and so enjoy the fics. I’m a fluff kind of person, so those are the ones I mostly read.

The hate never really happened. The people I know would have disapproved either never found the other account’s fics or found them and realized I’d tried to keep it on the DL and just quietly looked away rather than harass me, since it wasn’t in their face. Maybe it was all unnecessary. I’ve made the whole thing more stupid by publishing my 00q fics under my ato-the-bean identity, because I’d been following countless 00q blogs on that tumblr account and wanted things to match…but now I’ve mixed my rpffic and normal fic and it’s all just dumb.

Well, and I feel kinda stupid because while I was reading the pinto things, I had seen you comment with the

ATONAU name and had searched that name – I finally realized – oh, that is the name you meant.

Yeah… so ATONAU was my first AO3 account, but when I started writing Pinto, I did it anonymously because so many of my old fandom friends were so adamantly anti RPF and I just didn’t feel like dealing with the hate. But then when I’d written more of hose than anything else of AO3, it seemed stupid, so I made ato-the-bean, made that acct a coauthor, deleted ATONAU, and “revealed” the author. Worked great, but all my previously anon replies to comments were revealed at ATONAU. So my brilliant plan was not as brilliant as I’d hoped. Oh well.

lookthatway replied to your post “lookthatway replied to your post “lookthatway replied to your post:…”

Ooh ooh ooh – is that new name following me your spirk writing name? If so, I’m all over that. And you’d hate it because it’s built on Bread and Circuses – which, though Jim finds it hogwash for 6/7 of the fic, he is introduced to ….Oh, just suffice it to say, it only appeals to a certain kind of reader, and that might be a can of worms you wouldn’t enjoy opening, as it’s very different from anything else I’ve ever read on ao3. Or…anywhere. And I’m not a good writer

Well, I can’t speak to your skill since I haven’t read your fic yet, but I suspect you’re being far too hard on yourself.

I have two spirks posted.

“Let Me Call You…” is a little short for a Valentine’s Day challenge.

Compromised is also short, and takes place in the time immediately after the destruction of the Narada and Jellyfish, when the only escaped the forming black hole by sacrificing its warp core.  And I had some fun with narrative style on that one.

My third sprik is a 30k-word (so far) ending to someone else’s abandoned fic.  I talk big about finishing it (it’s pretty close, actually) and my usual betas are willing to help… but there always seems to be something else to write…
