I feel like I’ve made friends because of that fic. Also, I get a surprising number of comments from people who profess to hate kidfics, but love Bleary… It makes me feel like an evil wizard…

That is… I’m stunned Suede. That is the *best* thing you could have said. It’s *exactly* how I try to come up with stories… who is in what headspace, and what would that make them do in some situation, and how would this other person respond based on their headspace, and where does that takes us? It’s all about getting to different emotional states. Any plot is just what I have to throw in their way to force them to deal with something. I wasn’t sure anyone noticed.
I think that makes me a “gardener” rather than an “architect” for the most part.

after seeing this picture, i felt compelled to create a follow-up post to these headcanons from the summer. 00qad fandom, will you pitch in?
-james comes back from an undercover mission with a salt ‘n’ pepper beard and sporting his new reading glasses. danny immediately asks james to tell him stories about the war. “commander bond, how many people did you save in the dunkirk evacuation?”
-before showing anything to james, alex enlarges the font on every device 8x and asks if james needs more light
-daddy kink? more like grandaddy kink, q says later that night
-pampuria and turing are very perplexed by these coarse furs. they’re not very fun to lick.
-Danny mentions James should swap clothes with Q to get the “real” granpa aesthetic. Surely James tries but nothing fits and it’s hilarious
-they sit around the kitchen table for a meal James cooked, which he is excited about. But everybody else is on their phone or other devices. “You know back in the day…we used to talk to people!” He plucks the devices out of their hand (no point on fighting a 00). So they establish a new rule “no electronics at the kitchen table”. Then Alex excitedly tells them about the trip he is planning for all of them
-on a night out people keep asking why they brought someone’s dad to the club 😀
