Not at all!  I loved the tags.  I just don’t get a lot of love for my snippets usually, so it was funny that the one time I intended to post and delete, so just those few folks online at the moment would see it, was the one time I got multiple reblogs.  Trust me, it’s a nice problem to have.

I’m in Mountain Time. I’m a total hypocrite. I have needed to be asleep since about 2000h which was 4.5 hours ago. Mr. Hope is sleeping beside me as is HopePuppy. I’m a D-U-M dumb dumb who should be going to sleep. But NO! There is TUMBLR to read! and OUTRAGE about my country’s current federal government and how stupid it is that there’s any chance at all that they’ll be re-elected on Oct 19. I hate people.

and … I don’t want tomorrow to begin. So the longer I put off going to sleep, the longer I put off tomorrow. What’s wrong with tomorrow? Nothing, just more work. Now … I’m going to check email to see if there have been any updates on the WIPs I’m following. Because that, too, would be more important than sleep.

I’m pretty much done with the main part of PBB…just finishing the last conversation.  Then onto the future epilogue… but not tonight.

I’m not used to people reblogging my snippets.  I’d fully intended to delete it, since it’s rather spoielrish, but now I’m not sure it would work.  Or if it’s rude to delete something people have reblogged.  I don’t know tumblr etiquette is for this, and it’s cracking me up to have this “problem.”  Ah fuck it.  People who pay attention to this blog probably know the entirety of my PBB anyway… one more spoiler hardly matters.

This snippet will self destruct

“Are you asking me to move in with you?”  And he’s pretty sure the hope in his voice is not lost on Zach.

“No…”

Oh.   Well shi—

“I mean, you could.  Or I could move in with you.  Or we could look for a place together that has more space.  If you wanted.”

Chris can’t begin to stifle his grin.  “You want to live together?”

“I want our lives commingled.  When you say you’re going home, I want you mean the same place I live.  I want… I want everyone to know.  I mean, we’re committed.  It’s just the next step in being committed.  But it also means…”

“It also means we don’t wonder if we’re spending the night, or if we’re going to get kicked out of bed. Because there’s only one bed,” says Chris, grinning.

“Yes.  That.  We’ll just have to each find the strength to leave the bed when one of us has early meetings or shoots and the other doesn’t.  It will be hard to leave you all warm and sleep rumpled, but I think I can finally do it.”

“Yeah.  Me too.”  Chris pulls him closer to kiss him.  “Commingled, huh?  What are your thoughts on book organization?”

Zach smiles.  “Is Dewey decimal too hardcore?”

“You’re asking the wrong man.  Hardcore is my thing.”

Writing update

I wrote a little over 700 words today, so my PBB story is now just shy of 16k.  But more importantly, I may have decided on an ending, and it probably involves one more scene and then one more chapter.  So I’m not as close to being done as I thought…but since I’ve been pretty much drawing a blank, I see this as progress.  Still deciding on details, but it’s nice to have a plan.

Six Sentence Sunday

More of Pinto Big Bang.  It’s up to 15.8k now.

Zach nods and lets out a held breath, fondling Chris’ fingers absently as he thinks.  "Do I… When you fantasize about it… About me taking you apart in front of an audience… Does the me in your fantasy ever ask that of you?  To suck someone else off while I fuck you?  Let them touch you?“

Chris stomach flips.  Answering this will reveal something he’s not sure he wants to share.  Because even though it’s always his internal Zach’s idea, they’re still his fantasies.  Ultimately, he’s responsible.  But Zach deserves honesty, especially after tonight.

"Yeah,” he admits.  "Sometimes.“

"How does that… Tell me,” Zach says simply.  And there’s something in his voice, but it doesn’t sound like caution or hurt anymore.  And for the first time since he asked about that moment, Zach’s eyes meet his.

Sprint-a-Palooza at the Big Bang Brunch

Hey kids, we’ve got just over a week to get our drafts together for art claims. What better way than to do some writing sprints!?

What’s a sprint? For the uninitiated, it’s when a bunch of us join up in the bar and write as much as we can as fast as we can during a set time limit. Then we post our totals and share in the back-slapping and congratulations (and maybe even a snippet or two). The point is word count – you can always go back and edit later.

What’s Sprint-a-Palooza? IDK, I thought it’d be cool to post a listing of folks’ totals as the afternoon goes on and share with the fandom? It might also help motivate by a show of progress.

I will be there for at least a bit.  And I think the “Palooza” idea is grand… maybe not just of today’s sprints, but PBB totals to date, just to show how much writing this thing has generated…so much more pinto for Beans everywhere look forward to…
