I got the strangest comment on Bleary today:…

I honestly wouldn’t know how to reply to that, so probably wouldn’t. And it’s weird they didn’t comment on the story in any way. Like, did they read the story? Did they like it? That sounds like a comment someone would leave on a tumblr post where someone was talking about conservatives, but it was left in a STORY, and it just feels.. weird.

Yeah… part of me feels like asking “when was I talking to you exactly?” but anything I do feels like it can just go downhill quickly. I even thought if I wrote “Thank you for reading!” that could be taken as some sort of passive aggressive snub (which it might be, actually, so fair enough).

Think I’ll ignore it.

My favourite fic of yours is A Bleary, Hopeful Shade of Blue. I think about that story so often, it’s one of my favourites – not just when it comes to fics, but stories in general.

Aw.  Thank you so much!  Just imagine if Zach had never babysat or instagrammed that picture…how different my life would have been.  Because I didn’t go looking for Bleary; Bleary knocked me upside the head when I saw that pic and thought, “Aw damn.  Now I have to write it.”

I feel like I’ve made friends because of that fic.  Also, I get a surprising number of comments from people who profess to hate kidfics, but love Bleary… It makes me feel like an evil wizard…

may motivation, days 6-7

Day 6 – 96 words (for Chapter 2 of the rockband au, pretty well considering I was all wiped out after posting Chapter 1 the previous day)

Day 7 – 320 words (for Chapter 2 as well, with the words “some sex happens” marking the place where I need to, you know, actually WRITE a sex scene at some point)

Okay first off, yay you!

Secondly, “some sex happens” is just awesome.  In a pinch I think you could leave it…

ugh, that sucks! it’s good to hear this happens to other people too, though. i saw a post on tumblr that recommended reading your writing in a different format, so it looks different and makes it easier to spot errors. i sometimes just zoom in to make the text bigger on gdocs or read it in the preview window on ao3.

Yeah, I always do that when I have time. Last night though, I did not. I was up until 2 as it was doing PTA shit and then up at 6:30 to prep kids and go to the meeting and then work calls and…yeah. So typos happened. I fixed chapter 1 (I hope)…I’ll look at chapter 2 later. It is strange, though, how things look totally different and problems jump out as soon as you paste it into something new and hit “post.”

Thanks @elisa-pie! Iwrote about 250 words last night (after planning it out fairly thoroughly, and doing a bit of research), and plan to take my iPad in the car today to work on it.  So here’s hoping I can finish it over the weekend and just have to polish during the week.  And I have to follow up with @semperama to see if there’s anything special I have to do regarding Pinto de Mayo.
