That is, the next scene is a day, week, year or whatever later

Time is definitely the issue, but I had to do it the other way, where I went back and changed references indicating that 2 weeks were passing down to just one week, so I wasn’t forced to make two other events happen out of the order I needed.

I managed to fix it last night, so if I get a chance to write again today (maybe at lunch?) I can move forward again.

Thanks for the suggestion!

have you ever written bdsm?

Many times.  The Pinto ones are Jumping Into the Middle
series followed by The Weight of a Gaze, which I should just make part of that series, because it really is, I just thought I might add another in between Revelations and Weight.

Oh, and “What Spring Does…” has some light bondage.  None of mine are very dark or big into humiliation…just couples playing with bondage, a bit of pain, and dominance.  I’ve never written it as anonymous, club sex.  Hmmm.  I read that sometimes, but I like the emotions that go with it, so I think it’s easier for me to write in couples…

Yes! I love it! As a quasi-New Yorker I can relate lol. Sorry I didn’t see this until now. Have been having issues with my fandom email acct (that are not so much fixed as understood, sigh)

Ugh…that’s vexing. Well, no worries, anyway; I frequently disappear myself because rl, but I am glad you liked it. It seemed apropos. I almost posted his “When Scientists Riot” cartoon during the science march, but it was too close to home…I love his work, though, snarky and sometimes filthy as it is.

you guys, you…”

SAME! I remember reading the first couple chapters…

It was definitely a life event.  I hope the author gets tons of encouraging feedback to keep them motivated.  I actually dropped a comment in like, November, just to remind them that *no pressure* but there were folks out here that would adore more of this great story, and if rl were now preventing them from continuing, thanks again for the first two chapters, because they were truly fab and different and a joy to read.

i am pro no frosting. this is a true revelation. who wants to marry me?

I’m pretty monogamous, so I’m afraid I’ll have to take a pass. However, I’m happy to come eat your frostingless cake. There’s also “Scantily Clad is the New Naked” (http://ericaobrien.com/blog/category/wedding-cake/#.WCnR4txWlpF) which is where they use just enough frosting to hold everything together. It also looks vaguely like birch bark, which I find appealing. Anyway, cake research… for reasons.
