OMG PTA president. Of all the things you mentioned I find that most impressive because I generally want to strangle other Moms and half the teachers.

Same actually.  I consider myself a reluctant PTA president.  Basically, the district is going through a lot of changes, and I’m one of the people standing up to the board and trying to not have them dismantle or weaken a bunch of programs.  And since I’m going to all of these meetings anyway… when the nominating committee asked me to serve, I figured I may as well.  I cannot wait for my term to be up, though my daughter really appreciates that I do it and actually thanks me when I have to miss family dinners and such to make it happen.   Once she gets to middle school, the proposed changes will matter less, so I won’t feel the need to keep an eye on everything.  My jb and my hobby will benefit.
